The house is situated by the ramparts in the old quarters of nontron .these buildings originate from the 15th century. Further down the street is the actual spot where, during the siege of Nontron, Richard the Lionheart was truck by the arrow which mortally wounded him. (He was carried to Chalus.where he died)
Tennis, swimming , restaurants, bars and shopping are within only two minutes walk.horse-riding,boating,windsurfing is available at the lake at st. estephe(about 10 minutes drive).Other leisure lakes are within easy distance.
There is a market every Saturday and festivals in the town throughout the summer.
The historic towns of brantome and bordeilles are withn 15 minutes drive.
Accommodation
Lounge 20”x 20” with tiles floor. There is a three piece suite and dining table and chairs. French windows lead onrto small paved area 12”x 8” with garden furniture.
Kitchen-leading off lounge. 10” x 8” with tiled floor.
Bedroom 20” x 20” upstairs.Two single beds, wardrobe/dressing table.W.C & shower en suite>
Please note the house is not suitable for children.
Equipment
The kitchen has been equipped with a gas cooker and refrigerator. There is a suite of cupboards and worktops and a full range of cooking utensils, Cutlery, crockery and glasses are provided. The two single beds are supplied with duvet covers, sheets, pillowcases, towels and tea-towels
