El Couloume is a detached house with a wonderful backdrop set in its own private grounds. It must be one of the few houses in the area with a view of both the high mountains and the Mediterranean.
The house was completely renovated internally in 2003.An extra bedroom was added in 2006.
Ground floor: Entrance vestibule leading to the large sitting/dining/kitchen areas. The kitchen is fully equipped with large fridge, microwave, dishwasher, range. There is also a freezer. Satellite TV/DVD/Video.
There is a utility area with sink, iron and washing machine.
There is a bunk bedded room with its own toilet, shower and vanity unit. There are plans to replace this in 2007 with another en suite double bedded room.
First floor: 3 double bedded rooms with fitted units. It has French windows on to a path leading to the pool. The modern shower has jet massage, a radio, fan and light! All rooms are carpeted and each has its own shower room. They are fully tiled and are equiped with toilet, vanity unit and hydrojet showers.
Outside: Awning with table and chairs and a gas barbecue. Sun loungers round the pool. The pool is 8m x 4.5m and is equipped with a safety alarm.
For those seeking a haven where they can escape the stress of modern living this has to be about the best you can find!

We are a 10 minute drive from the pretty village of Serralongue up a dirt road.
Serralongue has a small general grocers and a café bar where you can have a good meal wine included for 15 Euros. A half hours drive takes you to either Prats de Mollo or Saint Laurent de Cerdans both of which have a selection of shops and restaurants.
This is an ideal area for walking, exploring or just relaxing! Spain and the Mediterranean are within easy driving distance. Golf, tennis and horse riding are all available locally. |
