A modern detached villa, with tiled floors throughout and equipped to a high standard, in a quiet location just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Le Pouget, which is about 35 km west of Montpellier and 30 km from the Mediterranean. Nearest towns: Clermont l’Herault, Gignac. A wood-burning fire and radiators in all rooms make this ideal for winter breaks.
The Accommodation
Spacious living room; fitted kitchen; fully tiled bathroom with separate shower; second loo; two double-bedded rooms, third twin-bedded room/office equipped for PC use; garage and car port for problem-free parking There is a south-facing terrace with sunblind for al fresco eating off the living room and a second small terrace.
Facilities include washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, music centre, BBC satellite TV/radio, video, phone/fax.
The mature, secluded garden is automatically watered, and features a small pond and barbecue.
The Village
Le Pouget is an historic “circulade” village situated on a hill with lovely views all around. It has shops selling all basic essentials, plus doctor, dentist, bank, tennis courts, restaurant and bar. There are several marked-out walks – e.g. to a prehistoric dolmen and to the vestiges of the medieval village of St Amans. Excellent bird-watching country. Good mountain-biking all around the area.
