Our three cottages have been renovated to modern standards whilst retaining many features that reflect the charm and character of the original farmhouse. Set in the peaceful hamlet of La Sechere, they are ideally located for sight-seeing, cycling, walking, canoeing, golf and fishing.

LAYOUT FOR ALL THE COTTAGES.

GROUND FLOOR
Lounge with large sofa bed, Music System TV/DVD (TV for use with DVD only). DVD's, CD's, Board Games and Books supplied FREE OF CHARGE.
Dining/Kitchen area fitted with modern units, cooker, fridge and microwave. Fully equipped with utensils for both internal and alfresco dining.
Downstairs toilet and wash basin - (ideal for the elderly).
Separate cloakroom with space for suitcases ect.

FIRST FLOOR
1 Double and 1 Twin bedroom both fitted with wardrobes, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. Mirrors in both bedrooms and hairdryers supplied.
Spacious shower room with full size cubicle, wash basin, toilet, bathroom cabinet and shaver point.
Each cottage has its own iron, ironing board and clothes airer. Personal safe available.

EXTERIOR
Own south facing patio with table and chairs, parasol, arbour, BBQ and lighting.

OTHER AMENITIES.
Price includes - Gas, electricity, bedlinen, towels, tea towels and pool towels. Shared service room with washing machine.
Two cottages have wood burning fires and all are gas centrally heated making them an ideal base for out of season property hunters. Discounted rates out of season.

CHILDRENS FACILITIES.
Circular pool, swings, sand pit and a variety of outdoor games. Travel cot, high chair, baby bath and baby gates available.
To the rear of the property you will find 2 acres of garden planted with young fruit trees and shrubs and totally enclosed within a laurel hedge and a variety of trees. Here you can play Petanque, practice your golf swing, play badminton or simply laze on the decking by the swimming pool. Shaded areas are supplied for non sun worshippers.

CHANGE OVER DAY - Saturday - depart by 10am - arrive after 4pm.

Prices are per week for a party of up to 4 people. Additional charge of £80.00 per person per week for Le Cheminee Cottage up to the maximum of 6 people.

CHABANAIS - 5 mins away this pretty market town straddles the Vienne River and boasts many shops including a supermarket, banks , post office, pavement bar/cafes and three quality restaurants.

LAKE AREA - Surrounded by specatacular lakes with sandy beaches, safe swimming, non motorised water sports and picnic areas. The Adventure Parc is a must to test your daring and skill at 63 games including tarzan leaps, flying foxes and absailing.

CONFOLENS - 20 mins away this lovely old town was built as a citadel at the confluence of the Vienne and Goire rivers. Fine old buildings still reflect its wealth, the Church of St Barthelemy, and the timber framed houses of the Rue du Soleil, Portes d'Ansac and Rue de Pinaguet. In August the town literally comes alive to the sound of music when it plays host to the famous International Music Festival.

ST JUNIEN - The pretty town square is an ideal spot for lunch at one of the many pavement cafes or to join the locals in a game of Petanque. If golf is for you then the 9/18 hole course is highly recommended. The larger supermarkets can also be found here as well as the local Saturday outdoor market.

LIMOGES - 45 mins away Limoges requires a full day to explore its delights. From the modern shopping centre to the picturesque old town with its beautiful buildings. Visit the outdoor market where its much sought after pottery can be bought at a fraction of UK prices.

COGNAC - Just over 1 1/2 hours away are some of the finest distilleries in the world. Guided tours are accompanied by generous tasting sessions. Alternatively just relax on your own patio with a glass of chilled Pineau (Charentes own blend of Cognac and wine) and watch the sun go down.
