This stone built farmhouse nestling in the foothills where Provence and La Drome meet has been part of the french landscape for over three hundred years. Lovingly restored preserving many of it's original features, it offers comfortable spacious accomodation for those who are looking for something more luxurious. The five double bedrooms all have large comfortable beds and their own ensuite bathrooms. One being specially designed for people with special needs and is wheelchair friendly.
The house has full central heating and the grand salon also has a log fireplace for out of season guests. Satelite TV DVD CD.
The kitchen has all modern appliances including dishwasher and microwave, separate laundry room.
Outside are large mature gardens with many shady areas to sit, a courtyard, a full size boulle court, and plenty of space for parking several cars.
The house is set well back from a country road that leads to the village and is accessed by a quietlane.
The pool which is in a walled area and alarmed for security is fourteen meters by seven and has a sloping beach entry for easy access and a integrated jacuzzi. A wide paved terrace takes you into the pavillion. where there is a shower room, toilet, dining room, salon and fully equipped kitchen with fridge dishwasher etc.and gas barbecue.

Things to do and see within an hours drive of Les Aubes.
Roynac is a typical french village with laundry basin, 16th centuary church and is surrounded by hills and forest.
The nearest village of any size is Cleon D'Andran about a mile away and has all the essential commerce ie. banks ,post office, chemist, supermarket, bakers, tabac, three restaurants and bars , an excellent butchers a garage , doctor, and dentist. there are also tenniss courts which can be reserved
The eighteen hole golf course at Montboucher comes highly recommended and is a fifteen minute drive away, with a club house, bar and gourmet restaurants.
There are several perched and historical villages nearby including 'Poet Lavel' the medeival village of the Knights Templer, and Mirmande a picturesque village with two very good restaurants.
If you take one of the 'routes de vins ' there are many places of interest to stop at along the way. Grignan the chateau of Madam de Sevigne , where they hold plays and concerts in the grounds on summer evenings. Nyons where there is a Thursday Provencal market is a must. A bit further on but well worth a visit is the historical city of Avignion with its river famous brige and the summer palace of the Popes.
Crest and the route to Die is well known for its canoeing and kyaking and is about twenty minutes by car.
The Vercours 'parc natural' for high mountains and ski resorts.
the Ardechand its famous gorge and grottos also canoeing and rafting.
You can of course just laze by the pool all day , watch the sun go down with an aperitif, play boulle on the illuminated court and slowly sip your 'Cotes de Rhone' then indulge in a barbecue. |
